The new album from the band Citrus Sun is called "People Of Tomorrow". In Citrus Sun Incognito founder Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick collaborates with UK guitarist Jim Mullen. In his long career Mullen has been associated with The Average White Band, Jimmy Witherspoon and the group Morrissey-Mullen. Most of the ten tracks on the album are instrumentals but on some tracks you will also hear vocals from Valerie Etienne and from Bluey.

People Of Tomorrow is a very enjoyable album. Fresh funky sounds and jazzy rhythms make the Citrus Sun warmly shine.

The opening track "Mais Uma Vez" is like a latin music journey. In this song the luscious sound of the trumpet, the catchy percussion and the sparkling guitar sounds set you right on track. The african brasilian elements in "Tonight We Dance" will really make you move that body. A sweet classic to hear is the instrumental version of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On". The voice of Valerie Etienne sounds great in "What Colour Is Love". You might know Valerie as a vocalist from Jamiroquai and from acid jazz group Galliano. Citrus Sun keeps it funky in "Yesterday Detroit". This song might take you back to the days of Dennis Coffey and The Detroit Guitar Band Big City Funk. The title song "People Of Tomorrow" is also one of the highlights on the album. The afro latin rhythm in this song is so addictive.(TA)
